Freiberg is renowned for its peace and quiet far beyond the borders of Styria.

What better conditions then for a round of golf! The course begins with 3 holes with broad fairways and is ideal for everyone. The centre of the course with its ponds is often greeted with amazement by the players. This area is also the most exciting part of the course. 2 green peninsulas, the 10th hole par 3 and 17th par 4, with a pond in-front – which appears to be very broad on the approach. The drive to the fairway 4, par 4, is also fantastic in this central area. It is set on a bridge high above the greens and ponds.

The golf course is a successful example of a green which blends into the valley landscapes of East Styria both in terms of aesthetics and ecology.

Playing a round of golf against this natural backdrop below the Freiberg Castle is sure to be an unforgettable experience for any golfer – with or without a handicap!
The end finds you at the 19th hole (the club house) where you can enjoy magnificent panoramic views across the hilly landscape where the lush green of the fairways is clearly visible. The location of the course is delightful, based in the Thermenland thermal spa region, close to the Styrian wine-growing regions and the province capital of Graz with its wide range of cultural offers and world famous old town – a must on any golfing holiday in the region!
