Great run, trail is lit from start to finish – just the thing for people who like going for a run after work or for those who enjoy running on a crisp winter evening. Also perfect for those wanting to go on a quick run during their lunch break or even throughout the day. Beginners are advised to alternate between walking and running.

Nice route - the right distance if you're a normal healthy runner doing running as a hobby. Trail is lit from start to finish, not many climbs, beautiful panorama.

Nice run, the distance and climbs involved mean that it’s more suited to beginners – although no one’s saying you can’t run it a second or even third time!

Great training run, beautiful route, for more accomplished beginners and those who engage in popular sports such as running as well as for the more ambitious competitive types of runners. Slightly hilly terrain.

This challenging run is only for experienced runners or those who are slight gluttons for punishment (!), hilly terrain with some extremely beautiful views of the surrounding area.   Make sure to pencil in an hour or more in your training schedule for this run!

The Castle Tavern Amateurs' Run 3.9 km

Start and Finish: The Wünscher Pichler Castle Tavern, Thannhausen

Surface: forest & meadow for 500m; gravel for 400m; then asphalt for 3 km

Pretty run, almost 4km long, perfect for those who are just embarking on a healthy training schedule for the first time. Experience the local recreation area of Thannhausen near Weiz. The most beautiful route takes you alongside the "Bacherl" stream”, but another popular option would also be to run right to the end of the "Bacherlweg" and then back up to the fork in the road. This route is also well-suited for shorter runs or walks.

Great run for beginners and more experienced runners alike – running the shorter route enables beginners to experience a nice climb. And Nordic walkers and runners will love this beautiful running route, which mainly takes in lots of forests and meadows.

Beginners’ run, just over 3 km, also well-suited as a Nordic-walking trail, because the surface is easy on the joints – but there’s nothing stopping you from running it twice or even three times, perhaps by varying your running rhythm or doing circuit training.

One of the most beautiful running routes in the area. Extremely popular among hikers, walkers and runners. Suitable for beginners, amateur and professional runners because runners can turn around at various points of the route and thus vary the distances ran. Beautiful route – really worth taking a run through the unspoilt natural surroundings passing the peaceful calm of the River Raab - ideal for relaxing and getting away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Very demanding run taking in a difference in altitude of over 300 m. Challenging even for professional runners, and ambitious amateur runners should make sure to alternate between running and walking during the steep climbs. The magnificent views will definitely make all your efforts worthwhile though.
