Riding and horse-drawn carriage rides

Enjoy riding lessons at the Painted Horse Ranch as well as taking part in riding camps, all under the motto of ‘Happiness on Earth is best enjoyed on horse-back!’ The riding camps for young people take place in the Summer holidays and include riding lessons, theory, work in the stables, horse care, horse-drawn coach rides and a taster of equestrian vaulting. Cosy BBQ evenings and campfire sessions round off the days.

Paint and Quarter horse breeding, riding (western and classic), training and correcting horses, preparing for tournaments and tournament support, riding classes with international instructors, some fantastic breeds with top pedigrees and tips on how to breed various species of foal.

There are plenty of opportunities to go riding along the well-signposted tracks in and around St. Ruprecht. Some of the tracks form part of the Hufeisentour. The Hufeisentour Styria is a tourism project comprising 700 km of bridleways which surround the province capital of Graz like a horseshoe, extending all the way to Slovenia.

The FC Donald sports club also has a section for riding and hosts an annual carriage driving tournament. Various championships are also held in St. Ruprecht such as the state championships in carriage driving. Riders and drivers are both given a warm welcome here in St. Ruprecht.

A romantic horse-drawn carriage ride, a sociable excursion or a sporty tour by marathon carriage - St. Ruprecht is home to many accomplished drivers who enjoy putting their horses to the test. Wedding rides are also popular. The couple or wedding party are transported to the wedding registry office or church by horse-drawn carriage.
